WHAT:
Project: R.A.K.E. involves over 30 Local Teens in Free Home Repairs
WHEN:
This week, July 8th - 11th from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM

DETAILS:
PROJECT: R.A.K.E. (random acts of kindness
everywhere), an outreach of the Ground Zero Youth Ministry, through the generous
donations of local businesses
and individuals, will provide free labor to help six low income families and
senior citzens in our area with free home repairs. One crew will
spend 4 days ripping off & reshingling the
mobile home roof of a single mother of two in Cochranville. Another team
of teenagers will be assisting a senior citizen in West Grove, gutting rotted kitchen cabinets & flooring and
replacing it all with brand new materials. A third crew will be tearing out a
rotted bathroom floor, replacing the plumbing and installing new fixtures for a
family of 5 in West Chester. Team
four is siding a porch in Kennett Square for a
family of four after the township told them they'd face fines if their old porch
wasn't repaired. Two other crews will
also be sent out to homes in Oxford & Avondale.
Project: R.A.K.E. gets LOCAL TEENS involved in the needs
of LOCAL FAMILIES their community to make a
tangible difference in these families everyday lives.
